To My Children — Welcome ❤️
If you're reading this, the first thing I want you to know is simple: I love you. I always have, and I always will.
I'm truly sorry that I haven't been around for so many years. Nothing can give us those years back, and I know I've missed a huge part of your lives.
For a long time, I wasn't very well. I struggled with my bipolar and with getting myself into a place where I could properly manage my life. When I eventually became more stable, I convinced myself that too much time had passed. I worried that suddenly trying to come back into your lives might cause you or your mum more stress, so I stayed away.
Looking back, I wish things could have been different.
Life Has Changed ❤️
I've now been stable on my bipolar medication for around 5–7 years, and life has moved in a really positive direction.
I'm now married, and today your little brother Lawson is 10 weeks old — which has absolutely flown by!
Having Lawson has made me think even more about all of you, the years that have passed and everything I missed. I would do anything for my children, but part of loving you is also respecting your feelings, your lives and whatever you decide is right for you.
Why I Made This
I wanted to create a quiet little place where I can share some of my life with you.
There are old photographs and memories here, alongside newer pictures, family moments and updates about Lawson as he grows.
There's no expectation behind any of it. It's simply here if you're ever curious.
The Door Is Always Open
I'd love to hear from you one day and have the chance to learn about the people you've grown into.
But that has to happen when and if you're ready, not because you feel you have to.
If that day comes, I'll be here. If it doesn't, I'll respect that too.
More than anything, I want you to know that despite the distance and all the years that have passed, you have always been my children and I have never stopped loving you.
I'm sorry for the time I've missed, and I'm incredibly proud to be your dad.
Whatever the future brings, the door will always be open. ❤️
Love always,
Dad
